About Me
I´m Nathalie, a freelance writer & hobby photographer
My name is Nathalie Neufang, I was born in the summer of 1988 in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and spent part of my childhood in the beautiful countryside near Le Havre, Normandy, France, which we still visit as often as possible. My family lives close to the city of Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. After high school graduation, I did multiple internships at marketing agencies and worked as an editor until I decided to become a freelance screenwriter.
Writing
“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.” - Anne Frank
My aim is to develop screenplays mostly with historical backgrounds, learn about the fates and tell the stories of people who are about to fall into oblivion, especially in such times when their remembrance is more important than ever. At the moment I´m getting in contact with filmmakers to realize a debut film, the independent anti-war drama "Hours are Wind" I wrote the screenplay for. I also decided to rewrite my first script "The Portrait" which is based on a true story and inspired by my grandparents memories of the Second World War.
Photography
"Solitude is indispensable for my dialogue with nature." - Caspar David Friedich
Photography is one of my greatest hobbies. I focus on nature, landscape, and macro photography, and work with Canon equipment, Lightroom, Camera Raw, and Photoshop 2025. I mostly enjoy a sunny day outdoors with my family and our two dogs, Swiss shepherd Mia and German shepherd Hera, and a camera in my hand. My photography can be purchased on ...
Others
“I am seeking. I am striving. I am in it with all my heart.” - Vincent van Gogh
Besides writing and photography, I enjoy being creative myself and learn about art. There are many artists whose work I admire but my all time favourite painters are especially Caspar David Friedrich and Albrecht Durer because of their stunning nature related art. I´m also very much interested in history. From ancient time periods to the Second World War, but most of all in everything about British history.
